James Woolley RIP // Nine Inch Nails Live At Woodstock '94

James Woolley was a keyboardist for Nine Inch Nails in one of the band's most important periods, as they were coming up and becoming huge, from 1991 to 1994. Before that Woolley was a member of Die Warzau and he contributed a lot to Sister Machine Gun's second album, Torture Technique. After NIN, Woolley was a member of 2wo alongside Rob Halford and John 5.

James died at age 50, without the cause of death having been revealed, though his ex-wife, Kate Van Buren, said Woolley had been living with "significant neck and spine injuries".

Trent Reznor told Rolling Stone about his past collaborator:

"Terrible news regarding James. I hadn’t crossed paths with him for some time, but always thought of him fondly. He was a fun character to be around, a solid musician and a genuinely good guy. Those of us from that era of the band have been sharing ‘James’ stories… Lots of laughs and love and sadness. Wishing his family the very best."

Here's the entire NIN set at Woodstock 94, which Woolley was a part of, as well as the couple of NIN videos he appeared in, Wish and March Of The Pigs.
