Philadelphia four-piece Stella Stella introduce their debut EP Radio Club with its first single, Pure Air. Blending soaring electronic production with the true, driving energy of an analogue band, the track places the group firmly within their hometown’s exceptional shoegaze scene while revealing a distinct noise pop identity of their own.
Built from dream fragments, broken tapes and ideas seemingly pulled from thin air, Pure Air evokes the fading recollection of a dimly lit dance floor submerged in transmission interference. Its textures may feel fractured, but the song never loses its nerve, appearing all dreamy, distorted and atmospheric, as well as made to hit with force.
