Los Angeles electronic duo Megafang return with another example from their forthcoming EP. Heartdrain is a slow-burning new offering built from distortion, heavy ambience and gradually intensifying pulses. Through its dense production the track carries an experimental edge without sacrificing emotional weight, allowing sentimentality to emerge through layers of dust-covered electronics.
Heartdrain expands patiently, moving through an ethereal haze before reaching euphoric levels of intensity. The result is inviting and gratifying, unveiling a multi-genre piece in which noise, atmosphere and feeling remain inseparable.
