Greek artist Tony Bluebird releases Lykoi, the latest single from his forthcoming EP Darko. The solo project of Athens-based musician and podcaster Antonis Konstantaras, also known for his work with Strawberry Pills, the track dives deeper into his darkwave and post punk sensibilities, pairing brooding melodies with an atmosphere of quiet unease.
Built around shadowy synths, driving rhythms, and a strong sense of tension, Lykoi explores the conflict between modern urban existence and the instinctive urge to escape it. The song focuses on the notion of being alienated by routine, technology, and the pace of contemporary life while wrestling with the desire to reclaim something more primal.
As Tony Bluebird describes, it's "a song about wanting to break free from the everyday city life and get closer to your animal instincts. Also it's about your need to rebel against modern society but you also feel scared to do so. But it will all go down when the wolf inside of you decided that it can't take it no more."
