Picture Postcard: wherever you're meant to be

wherever you're meant to be is the new single release from Picture Postcard, and it feels super sharp from the first listen, and incredibly loud as well. It arrives as the first glimpse of their debut EP with time, out May 7th, 2026, and sets the tone with a sound carried by momentum.

Drawing from the textures of late nineties and early 2000s alternative and emo, the track leans into a dense, enveloping arrangement. Guitars stack into a wide, driving wall, mixed with synths that add lift. As an introduction to the EP, the song comes across forceful and expressive, grounded in a sound that connects immediately while suggesting a deeper trajectory still unfolding.

Recorded by band member and producer AJ Das and mastered by Max Lajoie of Spite House, the track carries a cohesiveness that appears intentional at every level. The song is released via Irish emo label Never Meant, while a simple, aesthetically bold and well made music video extends its visual and emotional reach.
