Oshira: Vorágine

Oshira, a post metal–leaning duo from Mexico City, shape their sound through dense textures and volatile, emotionally charged dynamics. Vorágine, the title track from their debut EP, traces a gradual arc from quiet introspection toward a powerful sense of release, carrying the listener through shifting intensities and layered dissonance.

At its core, the band's first material is very much imposing, and reflects on identity, fear, and the weight of expectation in moments of uncertainty. It remains in that unsettling area of seeming out of sync with one's own existence, caught between seclusion and self-discovery, where the yearning to be recognized clashes with the urge to avoid attention. The music's depth and moodiness accurately match the track's existential perspective.
