Bird’s-Eye View marks Lozenge’s third release of the year, and it feels like a solid example of how the Leeds band shapes tension once more. Rooted in a grunge foundation with a shoegaze drift, the track moves forward steadily, balancing between grittiness and melodic coherence.
Guitars come down hard, dense and overwhelming, while the rhythm section twists underneath, giving the whole thing a sense of instability. The song sits with the idea of self-awareness turned inward too sharply, fighting to understand oneself.
The band explains: "The song is about fighting the battle of knowing yourself, fighting it wrong, and then not knowing that it's not a battle."
Bird's-Eye View lets the weight shift gradually, revealing something more vulnerable below the vibrations.
