No Floor: Helm

No Floor is a post shoegaze four-piece from Seattle, Washington. Over a series of notable releases, the band has steadily carved out its fresh voice, and returns with a new offering, their standalone single Helm, the first of six singles the band plans to release this year.

Helm addresses the notion of improbable redemption, developing as a melodic and introspective piece set inside a heavy, dynamic framework. While the song is based on a classic shoegaze approach, it additionally incorporates elements of emo rock, grunge, and post hardcore. These aspects flow naturally throughout the composition, adding depth and character without overshadowing the core atmosphere.

The track was recorded by Jared Molyneaux at The Shivas’ private studio in Portland, Oregon, mixed by Dylan Seawright of Great Grandpa in Seattle, Washington, and mastered by Phil Odom of Bad Wolf Recordings in Austin, Texas.
