Upstate is the new single from experimental artist Eric Angelo Bessel’s new seven-inch EP, Mirror at Night B-Sides. A companion to 2025’s Mirror at Night, the release brings together two new instrumental compositions.
Bessel says: “Upstate feels like a quiet transmission from somewhere beyond time—where memories blur, dreams surface, and sound moves like breath through spaces you can’t quite place but somehow recognize.”
The track carries a sense of distance, unfolding like a bittersweet memory, half-remembered and gently shifting. It moves in a state of quiet flux, elusive at first, yet settling with clarity as it lingers in the ear.
