Kim Gordon has released DIRTY TECH, the second single from her upcoming third solo album, PLAY ME, set to arrive on March 13th, 2026 via Matador Records.
The track explores the power struggle between humans and robots, a theme that comes vividly to life in the music video directed by Moni Haworth. In the clip, Gordon appears inside an abandoned corporate office, reinforcing the song’s tense, dystopian atmosphere.
Comprising 12 tracks, PLAY ME follows 2024’s The Collective and, as Gordon has previously noted, was inspired in part by “the news.”
Gordon says: “I was kind of musing about, is my next boss going to be an AI chatbot? We’re the first ones whose lights are going to go out – not the tech billionaires. It’s so abstract that people can’t comprehend.”
