House of Warmth: Hurt Hid Under the Sleeve

Releasing via Candlepin Records and Flesh & Bone Records, Hurt Hid Under the Sleeve closes out House of Warmth’s latest EP, Gabapentin_1. A hook-driven, heavy shoegaze track with a punchy chorus, it flows seamlessly from the noisy outro of the previous song, delivering a satisfying and carefully crafted conclusion to the four-track EP.

Layered guitars, recorded both in-studio and on a home four-track in true DIY fashion, give the track its raw, textured grit. This weighty sonic backdrop contrasts beautifully with the soft, emotive vocals, creating a compelling interplay of heaviness and delicacy that makes the song both intense and resonant.

House of Warmth has made an excellent first impression, and their new EP is highly recommended in its entirety.
