With the release date of Body Neutral EP closing in, Shadowing reveal their next single, Alive, a sharp, whiplash-inducing shift from the heavier tension that’s defined the rollout so far. Where previous tracks leaned into brooding pressure and slow-burning unease, Alive strikes with an early punk attitude and the precision of minimalist post punk.
The song captures the exact sensation of waking mid-fall; a jolt of adrenal clarity when everything hits at once. Bass and drums lock into a sprint, guitars cut in angular bursts, and the vocals carry the pulse forward with a kind of frantic composure.
Its accompanying video, created by Steve Wright (@cult_of_madness), mirrors that intensity through a barrage of distorted imagery. Playing like a scrapbook of lost media, the clip splices warped VHS grain, underground film scraps, and flashes of anonymous found footage into a chaotic montage.
