Scottish garage-punks Casual Drag have unleashed their furious new single The Master, the first track to be revealed from their yet-untitled album slated for release in 2026.
On the inspiration behind the song, singer Richard said: "This song is about not letting the impact of trauma rule your life and limit you - It's about taking control of your path, while in the mire of misery, and becoming the master of your own destiny.
"Lyrically the song is someone having a conversation with their former self - reflecting on the past in order to understand the future and move on. The world we see around us is a pretty grim place at the minute, and the oppressive reality we are living in really inspired the fury of the song!”
The band sound perfectly at home in their energetic, punchy zone, channeling a raw dynamism that suits the song’s central concept. It’s a sharp, spirited burst of punk rock intensity delivered with Casual Drag's signature grit.
