Swedish horror punks The Dahmers have long embraced horror-inspired themes and Halloween aesthetics. Their catalog thus far is packed with such darkly playful material, and their new single and video, Nightmare of ’78, arrives perfectly timed for the spooky season.
The track comes from their forthcoming third album, Creature Feature, due out January 13th, 2026, on a Friday the 13th, via Eerie Sounds.
Produced by The Dahmers alongside Johan Gustafsson and Christian Grahn (of The Hives), the single is a beautiful demonstration of the energy that has made the band one of Sweden’s most electrifying live acts.
While they don’t seek to reinvent any genres, The Dahmers keep their signature mix of garage punk, eerie fun, and rock ’n’ roll swagger alive and well, continuing their tradition with vigor and great taste.
