Midi Doric is the first single and video from This Is What It Feels Like, the upcoming live concert film by Down The Lees. Filmed in the heart of winter at an intimate theatre in Western Canada, Midi Doric captures the haunting solitude and emotional weight of isolation and depression during the pandemic.
With their first release after a two-year absence, Down The Lees continue to refine their distinct sound, achieving a lot of emotion though their performance which is marked by a restrained intensity, combining vulnerability with strength, and atmosphere with composure.
The performance was filmed at the Mary Irwin Theatre as part of a high-concept concert experience, fully funded by Creative BC. Captured by Irisphere Entertainment and mixed by Jesse Gander, the clip blends live footage and cinematic visuals, offering a fully realized glimpse into the consistent artistry of Down The Lees.
