Senior Living: caught doing things (i shouldn't do)

Senior Living are bringing their new shoegaze sounds from Albany, NY, describing themselves as "tired and heavy." The band delivers a wistful and indeed weighty take on the genre, one that certainly deserves attention.

Their latest track, caught doing things (i shouldn't do), exudes bold, introspective energy with a bit of rough confessional edge.

"We wrote it while navigating some collective mental health struggles as a band," they mention, "something we feel is emblematic of our generation — and we hope it resonates with anyone facing the same kind of chaos."

The track is accompanied by a DIY music video inspired by a recurring anxiety dream. Shot in Albany and co-directed by the band and their friend Maysen St. Germain, the video blends a surreal time-loop narrative with live performance footage.

This is beautiful underground shoegaze; heavy, wistful, and full of promise. It’s not to be missed.
