The KVB: Labyrinths

The KVB have announced the release of their forthcoming new album, Tremors, out on April 5th, 2024, via Invada Records. Labyrinths is the first single from the impending album, coming alongside a very well made self-directed video.

The duo have described Labyrinths as "the most aggressive on the album and a nod to some of our early releases."

The new track serves as a superb representation of the band's distinctive blend of synthpop, shoegaze, post punk, and darkwave elements, and finds the band sounding fully creative and engaging.

They continue: "Lyrically, it was inspired by the collection of short stories by Jorge Luis Borges and its references to historical subjectivity; the flexibility of truth and construction of narratives."

On the video, The KVB say that it is "a visceral assault of digitalised nature, CRT screens and analogue glitch textures."

We wanted the first video single to reflect the album artwork and the energy of the edit to mirror the aggression of the song,” they conclude.
