Continuing their excellent run of early singles, Hamburg's The First Eloi, deliver their new offering, Laika, adding another great entry to their so far compact collection of releases. With this new offering, the band once again showcases their solid dreampop sound, finely weaving in elements of shoegaze and post rock to create a beautiful atmosphere.
Laika leans towards the atmospheric side of The First Eloi's creative spectrum, inviting into a world of ethereal charm. The soft, delicate vocals stand out, conveying a sense of introspection and emotion. Together with the melodic, carefully crafted instrumentals, the band manages to once more produce a harmonious whole.
