Murrieta, CA band, Split Image, return with their two song release, Prey On My Downfall, including the title track and Cybernetic Warfare, once more bringing their gritty combination of hardcore punk and thrash metal to fulfillment.
The band is in a very boisterous mood as evidenced by the new release. Prey On My Downfall comes off as a little unconventional, yet, characteristic of the band's energy, and it still adopts an enjoyable crossover hardcore style in the vein of Suicidal Tendencies. The intensity of Split Image is further demonstrated by Cybernetic Warfare, and the band's new work provides a couple of standout, hard-hitting songs which make for great repeated listening.
