Bolywool, the continually resourceful shoegaze, dreampop and post rock project of Calle Thoor and Oskar Karlström, return with a new four-song EP, not long after their album, Dead Reckoning. The new release, Orcadian Obsidian is out on November 11th, 2022, and first song, The Poetry of Dead Branches, shows the band's ethereal and atmospheric colours.
Drawing influence from the unique, vacant landscapes of Öland which the band call home, Bolywool keep on delivering comforting and gratifying compositions based on an apt mix of underground styles, and their penchant for experimental sounds. The Poetry of Dead Branches is no exception to the band's broad creative approach, and it sounds as poignant as its title implies.
