Secret Shame: Color Drain

In an effort to underline the intimacy of their lyrics, Asheville post punks Secret Shame go full on mellow on Color Drain, the band's most recent unveiling from the eagerly awaited new album, Autonomy. The end result is a very personal song which highlights the band's more relatable post punk facet.

The song addresses singer and songwriter Lena's protracted battle with anorexia and explores what it's like to navigate the world while disoriented and indifferent after recognizing that they needed support but were unwilling to accept it.

Color Drain follows the recent, Luxury Bitch, and they're both part of Secret Shame's impending sophomore album, Autonomy, which is being self-released on October 28th, 2022.
