New Seattle-based act Calm Collapse is composed of Doug Lorig (Roadside Monument) on guitar/vocals, Rob Smith (Traindodge, Museum of Light) on drums/keys, and Jon Pease (Medicine Bows) on bass. Mirrored Nature, the band's upcoming debut album, was produced by Matt Bayles (Mastodon, Foxing, Minus The Bear), and the first single, Positive Greed, demonstrates the project's ultra heavy and melodic direction.
The new single is as punchy as it is affecting, exhibiting the technical prowess of Calm Collapse, and the visceral characteristics of their sound. The track introduces a band full of agility which builds their craft on their past experience while also looking forward with ability and willingness.
