I Want Your Love, the 1978 classic by Chic, gets the odd cover treatment by NYC's chicest supergroup. Wah Together get on the rooftop and give the song a shoegaze and noise rock edge, marked by the neo psychedelic and no wave properties which also characterize their original work.
Heavier and edgier than the original, and by all means equally fun, Wah Together's take on I Want Your Love, has its own distinct flavor, and sounds uplifting as much as it feels uninhibited.
I Want Your Love is out on Dedstrange through which the band have also released their very fine album, Let’s Wah Together.
