ILUITEQ is an ambient music project formed by Sergio Calzoni and Andrea Bellucci, two well-known artists in the Italian experimental ambient scene who have recorded albums under many aliases and groups including Red Sector A, Subterranean Source, Orghanon, and Colloquio. ILUITEQ is the duo's attempt to delve into the numerous dimensions of ambient electronica, with particular emphasis to sound design and calming compositions.
After their 2018 debut Soundtracks For Winter Departures on TXT Recordings, ILUITEQ, their sophomore album, The Loss of Wilderness, was released on n5MD in 2021, and will be followed by The Light Inside, The Dark Outside, on May 6th, 2022.
Above, The Sky is a brooding piece of spacious electronica, a contemplative listen which exudes a strong feeling of hope and optimism through ambient, cinematic and neoclassical moments.
