Following on from their impressive first appearance, mysterious shoegazers, DETECTS, come forth with a second two-song release, ahead of their forthcoming full length which is expected in the near future.
According to the band, both Light Crush and Looks, the very direct and hard hitting tracks which compose the concise entirety of Remind, were conceived "at home watching bad crime dramas on TV," and they both come with a very gritty and fuzzy take on shoegaze rock, in the vein of acts like Skywave and early Swervedriver.
For the second time in a row, the new band makes a strong impression with the quality of their production, and the encompassing straightforwardness of their sound.
