Erotic Secrets of Pompeii: The End of Love

Consistently full of clever symbolisms and referencing facts from history alongside points from fiction, Bristol band, Erotic Secrets of Pompeii, end 2020 on a high note, and release their fourth and final single of the year, The End of Love, through Deaf Endling Records.

The new track winks at the grooviest side of post punk, and brings to mind the electric songwriting wit of idiosyncratic acts like Ian Dury, Talking Heads and Devo, continuing to lay out the artful punk ways of the band's earlier outings, and presenting a very much astute act ready to strike gold.

With the group's dark ways still in place, The End of Love sounds all agitated and fierce for its swift three minutes, and presents the theatricality and the good ear for production which have been all over the early work of Erotic Secrets of Pompeii once more fully fledged.
