Wrekmeister Harmonies will be releasing their forthcoming album, We Love to Look at the Carnage, on February 21st, 2020 on Thrill Jockey Records, which finds JR Robinson and Esther Shaw working together with Thor Harris of Swans on percussion and Jamie Stewart of Xiu Xiu on electronics.
First piece surfacing off the coming LP is the incredibly downcast and contemplative, Coyotes of Central Park, which sounds close to earlier works of Swans, and prominently features Robinson's bleak and profound lyricism, drawing from both the dreary reality and the extensive imagination which always comes forth unexampled in the band's work.
We Love to Look at the Carnage follows The Alone Rush from 2018, and it's Wrekmeister Harmonies' fifth full length, recorded with Martin Bisi (Swans, Sonic Youth, Cop Shoot Cop, White Zombie, Helmet and tons more) at his BC Studios.
