A year after their formation. Newcastle up and comers, Fast Blood, prepare for the release of their first EP - expected in early 2020, have a pair of gigs approaching alongside Mannequin Pussy, Cocaine Piss and Mouses, and deliver their lively, memorable and agile debut single, You.
"You is pretty much the only feel good song I’ve ever written!" says Abigail Barlow, the band's vocalist. "It’s about the people who you can’t be without, the ones that are there for you no matter what. Because it’s important to acknowledge those people."
Close to pop punk and emo rock, yet with a straightforward punk mentality, a strong production courtesy of Chris McManus, and evocative lyrics written by Abi, You is a fast-paced smash which sets Fast Blood off to an impressive start.
