Jaye Jayle: Soline

It's not very common for a good album, as great as it might be, to deliver outtakes which are as grabbing as its original content. In the case of Jaye Jayle and No Trail and Other Unholy Paths, one of the best albums of 2018, there is surely a bright exception. All this time the band was sitting on Soline, an astounding piece of gospel-inclined modern Americana from their latest LP's sessions.

"It was a difficult choice to not include Soline on our album," Evan Patterson says. "Alas, the uplifting and almost gospel nature of the song just didn’t meld with the dark foliage of the record."

The newly revealed song features the contributions of Joe Manning, Deputy Director for the Louisville Story Program and multimedia artist, together with Cheyenne Mize on strings, Emma Ruth Rundle on guest vocals, and a choir consisting of Manning, Mize, Neal Argabright, Tory Gallager, Todd Cook, and Corey Smith.

An unmissable bill for fans of dark Americana, Jaye Jayle are going on on tour in North America with Wovenhand this Autumn.
