Rainbow Fades is the third piece revealed off Rust on the Gates of Heaven, the upcoming album by Wear Your Wounds which comes out July 12th, 2019 through Deathwish Inc.
Quite weighty and dark, following on the path of the previously unveiled Shrinking Violet and the LP's title track, the new song displays both the more atmospheric aspect in WYW's sound, and the completely assertive, heavier direction of theirs, as midway through it twists and transforms from its melodious somberness into something fiercer and more metallic.
A supergroup of sorts, composed of esteemed musicians who have previously cut their teeth in bands like Converge, Cave In, Hatebreed, Trap Them and many more, Wear Your Wounds seem ready to emerge with what feels like their strongest work to date, a fully realized album, and in all probability a modern progressive rock exemplar.
