Bull: Eugene

York-based rockers, Bull, go back as far as 2011, and their slacker rock sound, akin to acts like early Built to Spill, Pavement and Pixies, is presented in its most direct and natural form through the band's recently revealed session at Tapetown in Denmark.

Eugene is the perfect crossway between the quirky indie pop of Belle And Sebastian and the nervy guitar-driven sound of Dinosaur Jr., finding the band making the most of their influences from both sides of the Atlantic, while their delivery is nothing short of excellent, captured by the great studio to the highest standard.

Bull are Dan Lucas (lead guitar, vocals), Kai West (bass, vocals), Tom Beer (rhythm guitar, vocals) and Tom Gabbatiss (drums, vocals). Five years after the release of their debut album, She Looks Like Kim, the band is on a consistent rise, getting radio airplay and supporting bands such as the Orielles, Pip Blom and Canshaker Pi.
