Death Bells: Around The Bend

With their new adaptation as a duo, consisting of long-time members, William Canning and Remy Veselis, LA through Syndey, Australia, post punk act, Death Bells, are following their excellent debut LP, Standing At The Edge Of The World, from 2017, with new music, taking a more polished direction, one that suits the wistfulness in their songwriting pretty well.

New single, Around The Bend, comes through impressively, sounding sharp, accompanied by a video courtesy of LA-based writer/director, Marfisia Bel.

"The song was recorded at Station House studios in Echo Park with Chris King of Cold Showers," says the band's own, William Canning. "We tracked everything in a day and mixed the songs between Sydney & Los Angeles. The song is about escaping feelings of stagnation, which is funny considering Remy and I faced the exact same feelings back home in Sydney, which brought us out here to LA."

Death Bells' new singles will be out on new label, Metropolitan Indian. Alongside a revolving live lineup the duo will be performing on the US west coast this June with Collapsing Scenery.
