Pure Bathing Culture: Saturday Night

In case you're not familiar with what Turntable Kitchen is doing with their Sounds Delicious series, and you are into odd covers of old favorites, make sure to check it out because that tasteful place where they combine culinary delicacies with indie music, enables great artists to cover some of the albums they admire the most in their entirety.

Portland's Pure Bathing Culture have just announced Hats, their remake of a classic underrated gem from October 1989 by Scottish synthpop greats, The Blue Nile.

The album's closing track, Saturday Night, comes in all its dreamlike, nostalgic glory, featuring Death Cab For Cutie/Postal Service frontman, Ben Gibbard, who has also contributed to the series with his rendition of Teenage Fanclub’s Bandwagonesque.
