Jesus Piece: Curse Of The Serpent

Philadelphia's Jesus Piece come forth like a brutal, forceful, fresh voice in hardcore, bringing to mind the elegance and intricacy of Converge, and having cut their teeth playing live alongside great bands like Ceremony, Turnstile, and Nothing. With the latter there is a very strong association, expected to be announced within the next hours.

The band's debut full length, Only Self, comes out August 24th, 2018 via Southern Lord, introduced by lead single, Curse of the Serpent, a two-minute slayer which raises all already high expectations, and establishes Jesus Piece as the genre's presently finest new act.

"Curse of the Serpent is an ode to the grudges that everyone holds," the band states to Revolver. "It's a song about long-lasting pain sitting in the back of your mind. The kind that just doesn't know how to fuck off. We chose this song first because it's a great introduction to the energy of this record but doesn't define the overall sound. This is a great bridge of growth between old and new."
