Ganser: Avoidance

Following the brilliant PSY OPS which introduced us to the new album by Chicago's post punk up and comers, Ganser, the band has just unveiled their second single and video off the forthcoming LP, Odd Talk, scheduled for release on April 20th via No Trend Records.

Dense, direct, forceful, and quite goth-inclined, Ganser sound genuine on channeling equal parts of the post punk uneasiness of acts like the early Gang Of Four, and the noise rock buzz and disenchanted delivery of Sonic Youth. Piece after piece Ganser emerge as a new force in today's post punk map, and it seems safe to say that Odd Talk is going to be an exciting listen.

Avoidance in its three-minute tightness sounds familiar even from the first listen, and it comes bearing spunk and quality, elevated by its accompanying video's super cool, vintage visuals.

Ganser is Alicia Gaines (bass and vocals), Brian Cundiff (drums), Nadia Garofalo (keys and vocals), and Charlie Landsman (guitars).
