D//E Premiere: Cannibal Animal: Ellipsisism

Hull post punks Cannibal Animal will be releasing their new EP, A Decline In Morality, on March 16th on the independent UK label Warren Records. The first single, Ellipsisism, an agitated and aggressive number introduces us to the band's upcoming release, and streams for the first time ever below.

The EP was produced by The Talks' Pat Pretorious in AOO Studios in Hull. The band shares about it: "With this EP we were writing in a different mindset, rather than trying to write a collection of songs that merely blow the brains from your skull, we focused a lot more recently on rhythm and a few of these tracks ended up taking on a tribal-dance element."

Ellipsisism is no stranger to Cannibal Animal's garage rock and gothic inclinations. The song emerges as one of the most impressive and memorable specimens the band has give us this far; a paradigm of their take on post punk, full of distress and nervousness, but with a tuneful playfulness and a DIY ethic which can only be paralleled to the genre's early trailblazers.

Orders will open soon at Warren Records' Bandcamp.
