Brandon Luedtke: Something Evil

In May 2012 the local papers in Dallas were prattling about something evil that was happening in their community when a burned corpse was found alongside human bones, and according to an unverified claim the body's head and hands appeared to have been severed.

"Somebody did something evil," a neighborhood resident told the local TV station, and Brandon Luedtke who grew up just east of where the gruesome murder happened, wrote a song about it.

In the style of a Lightnin' Hopking classic Texas blues, Something Evil is part of Brandon's debut, Morning Light, and features Kevin Allen on harmonica (Mother Merey, The Black Dirt, Honey Baby) and Travis Shull from Brandon's first band Roosevelt's Roody Bag on upright bass.
