College: Love Peas (f/ Hama)

David Grellier, better known as College, had his big mainstream breakthrough in 2011 when his song, A Real Hero, was included in Nicolas Winding Refn’s acclaimed 2011 film, Drive. College has also released three full lengths and is about to release his fourth one, Shanghai, a work which finds the composer branching out from the disco and synthpop beats of his past projects and reveals a whole new aspect of his creativity.

"This record is a mysterious ballad in the heart of 1920s Shanghai..." the composer states. "An invitation to travel, a tribute to the refinement and in the delicacy of a fantasized and blurry period of time, which fed the imagination of the musicians, the artists and the architects of this mythical city. Young chinese singer Hama, a Shanghai native, also honors me by singing on the title Love Peas. The keys of this new adventure is in your hands."

Love Peas is accompanied by a cinematic music video, directed by Charles Lanceplaine, who collaborated with Grellier on a video for his previous album, Heritage.

Shanghai will be out April 28th from Lakeshore Records and Invada.
