Matthieu Roche's dark synthpop project, Fragrance. returns with a new standalone single and accompanying video, following the album Salt Water from 2021. New track, Hanté de moi finds the artist writing and singing entirely in French for the first time.
The new song is similar to Fragrance.'s usual melancholic sound, with the dance component fully prominent and the dark and gothic proclivities more obvious than ever. Hanté de moi tells us an entrancing story based on dreams, and its dreamlike qualities are unmistakable.
The song comes with a very moody video, directed and edited by Jennifer Medina, starring Marissa Sylvester and Matthieu Roche.
