Following a string of excellent and inventive remixes of their new material, A Place to Bury Strangers present a rather odd interpretation of Nice of You to Be There for Me, a single from See Through You, this time by Annie Hart of Au Revoir Simone.
“This song is about how greed infects all of us and makes us do things we might not normally do. Being greedy is actually quite shortsighted and voluntarily naive.”
In this bizarre version of the song, eloquent musicbox synths are in prominent place of the piece's overall instrumental elegance, linking with Oliver Ackermann's isolated vocal in a bare and delicate production which lights up through its wonderful minimalism.
