With a quite bitter lyrical approach, Oakland, California-based act, Welcome Strawberry, follows the release of the recent single, No One Online, with new offering, You in Your Rare Ugliness. Both tracks are part of the fresh outfit's self-titled debut album, out on September 2nd, 2022 through Cherub Dream Records.
You in Your Rare Ugliness is a melodic dreampop number which presents the mellower side of Welcome Strawberry, although the fuzzier and gazier aspect of the project's sound is also perceptible.
Welcome Strawberry continues to emerge in a very consistent and fascinating manner, with hints of a more approachable type of alternative rock mingling well with the project's underground shoegaze.
