Blightmaker, from from Seattle, Washington, bring a powerful, abrasive, and all-around crushing sound, presenting a strong blend of sludge and blackened metal. The band's self-titled EP is out through Modern Grievance, and it certainly places them among the most interesting new forces in extreme metal.
Virulent Seed is part of the four-track EP, a striking three-minute piece which hits directly to the point, bursting with despondency and wrath amid dark waves of overwhelming intensity and heaviness.
Blightmaker are composed of Kellen Anderson (guitar), Mat Huout (bass, vocals) and Skyler Huson (drums).
