Matt Messore is best known for his shoegaze act Cathedral Bells, with which he has been incredibly prolific in recent years. Midi Memory is the artist's side project, a different representation of sound and composition, a more synthpop-based outfit which still hints at a dreampop underpinning.
Adding a dark tone to an otherwise bright aesthetic approach, Midi Memory mixes darkwave and dreampop components to create an enticing vintage synth-based minimal sound. New single, All The Way Out, is the epitome of that curious combination.
Midi Memory is fresh from the release of a collaborative single with COOL HEAT. The standalone cut All The Way Out, out through Born Losers Records, follows the recent eight-song album, Sensory Overload.
