toechter: Zephyr

Berlin's toechter publish another unique and delightful part of their new album, Zephyr, which is a really fine blend of neoclassical and modern electronica sounds. The title track is an experimental electronic-acoustic work that is paired with a similarly artistic video.

The mood of the song was always created by improvisation. It was sort of a dialogue, or diary we kept of our feelings on any given day,” toechter describe.

The dreamy atmosphere established by the trio's string-based instrumentation takes over subtly and gradually, mingling smoothly with a soundscape of layered textures, voice loops, white noise, and crackling noises, culminating in something rich and inviting.

toechter (German for ‘daughters’) are musicians Lisa Marie Vogel, Katrine Grarup Elbo and Marie-Claire Schlameus. Zephyr was produced by the esteemed electronic musician Apparat.
