Indie dreampop band, Sooner, will be releasing their debut album, Days and Nights, on March 25th, 2022 via Good Eye Records. Newest single, Pretend, is an excellent representation of the group's pop sensibilities, despite a deeper and darker subject matter with lyrics about sexual assault.
The song hits all dreamlike and jangly, with a pure pop structure which seems familiar and ageless, and it carries an excellent, ultra crisp production, complementing both the rich instrumentals as well as vocalist Federica Tassano's expressive vocals.
