Not long after their very good newest album, yours with affection and sorrow, Maine shoegazers, Crystal Canyon, return with a standalone single which carries the same honesty and melancholy which is all over everything the band has put out thus far.
Haunt You is an indeed haunting piece on which the gritty guitars and the soft vocals devise a wonderful juxtaposition which plays with shoegaze's principles and customs, and sounds like something that could have been a highlight had it been included in either of the band's two albums.
Crystal Canyon's consistency is once again unmistakable, even if it's just presented through a pure and simple four-minute independent cut.
