Sugar Horse: Phil Spector In Hell

With the attention grabbing title, Phil Spector In Hell, British band Sugar Horse deliver their newest single ahead of their coming album, The Live Long After, the follow up to a couple of EPs and standalone cuts which paved the band's early way.

Bringing together shoegaze, psychedelics and heavy doom rock which verges on post metal and beyond, Sugar Horse emerge with their genre mixing character uninhibited. Their new material echoes melodious and weighty in equal amounts, as if it has derived from the mid-2000s, strongly evoking memories of early Oceansize, Aereogramme and And So I Watch You From Afar.

The eight-minute expansiveness of Phil Spector In Hell goes through steady passages of robust melodiousness to grow into something heavier, nearly anthemic, and certainly worth the extended attention.

The Live Long After will be released on August 27th, 2021 through Small Pond Recordings.
