D//E Premiere: Psychic Graveyard: Word Machine

Noise rock figureheads, Psychic Graveyard, released their first full length, Loud As Laughter in 2019, and followed it with A Bluebird Vacation a year later; both excellent records which definitely deserve more attention and acclaim. The band, consisting of scene pioneers, Eric Paul, Nathan Joyner, Paul Vieira, and Charles Ovett, returns with the first track and video off their coming third album, Veins Feel Strange, due out September 10th, 2021 via Deathbomb Arc.

Word Machine exudes noise rock fervency, it bears a fantastic production, and finds the band all expressive and vibrant, with the storytelling properties of their songwriting full on.

Psychic Graveyard comment on the new track: "The single is a hallucinatory account of a man who is seeking solace from a cruel machine that manipulates his thoughts. He is so troubled by this awful machine that he begs for hospitalization. He begs to escape to another psyche. He begs for his own language."

A psychedelic, mood-altering visual accompanies the song to utmost perfection, created by the band's own, Nathan Joyner.

In all likelihood we're in for another great album by Psychic Graveyard, and the first single off it definitely convinces. This is unmissable.
