Having previously previewed it with a couple of pungent singles, Grief, the debut EP by Acid Womb has been released, and it's a phenomenal piece of death metal intellect which works intoxicatingly as a unit, just like its four tracks do on an individual level.
The six-minute extremity of The Woods brings the imposing EP to a thrilling end. Acid Womb's unique death metal vision once more doesn't seem to be dwelling very far from the genre's celebrated old school aspect, but peculiarly enough it also appears undoubtedly modernized and innovative, and at the moment without parallel.
