Milly: Star Thistle Blossom

Los Angeles shoegazers, Milly, will be following last year's, Our First Four Songs, with a new EP, whose first single, Star Thistle Blossom, indicates the band's love for nineties, guitar-driven, fuzzy and grungy indie rock.

The new song sounds like an discerning blend between early Smashing Pumpkins and Catherine Wheel, with guitarist and songwriter Brendan Dyer's soft vocal delivery providing a very engaging contrast to the instrumentation's heftiness, and resulting in a gripping piece that feels both gritty and elegant.

Milly's coming EP, Wish Goes On, was produced by Gleemer's Corey Coffman, and will arrive through Dangerbird Records. The band's lineup is rounded out by Spencer Light (guitar), Yarden Erez (bass), and Zach Capitti Fenton (drums).

Star Thistle Blossom is paired to a fun accompanying video directed and edited, Justice Vaughn Ott, narrating the story of a lucky young woman who found God in the most unexpected of ways and places.
